Our goal is not simply to preserve traditional Japanese houses.
We aim to pass down the life, wisdom, and culture that breathe within them — and share these values with the world.

Revitalizing a kominka (traditional Japanese house) is more than just restoring an old building.
It means bringing back the history, memories, and spirit of the people who lived there, while creating new value that connects the past to the future.
A kominka represents the harmony between human wisdom and nature — it is a reflection of the Japanese spirit itself.
By rediscovering this value and expressing it in new forms, we can leave behind a Japan that future generations will be proud of.
That is what we truly believe.

I also have one great dream —
to create a “Kominka Village” in my hometown, Yamagata.

It will be a place where people can gather, learn, and experience the beauty of Japan’s traditional landscapes — through restored kominka, the beams and pillars that have supported life through harsh winters, and the memories that have been passed down across generations.

This dream is my origin, and a symbol of connecting the path of kominka restoration to the future.

A small challenge beginning in a rural region can one day become a bridge that connects Japan, the world, and the generations to come.
